Thank you for visiting our website. I am Pastor Jerry Peterson and I have been serving First Lutheran since 1987. We are making plans for opening our church's century chest which we will be celebrating Monday, April 22, 2013. Our church has been entrusted with a buried century chest that holds many items documents that are part Oklahoma's heritage which will be opened before the celebration and will be displayed at the Oklahoma History Center.
But more importantly, the century chest symbolizes how Christians have been entrusted with the Gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is God who chooses us, saves us and empowers us with His Holy Spirit to further His work by telling the truth of His life-changing love and forgiveness for all people. We are excited about celebrating not only God's faithfulness and grace which He has given us in the past, but also looking forward to encourage the faithful who come after us.
